Thanks
Thank you this week to everyone who came to our party night on Saturday and supported us. A great night was had and thanks to all who bought and donated raffle prizes and also those who bought items at the auction. Also all those who helped and performed on Saturday night. Our accountant has asked that anyone who has any monies outstanding, i.e. from events held, or sponsored events, could they please give them to us or pay them directly into The Royal Bank of Scotland by 31st December so he can complete the end of year return for the charities commission. Thanks. We haven’t sent any Christmas cards this year, however, we wish you all a merry christmas and thank you all for all your kind wishes and gestures over this period. The total this week stands at £151,301.02.

Party Nite!!!!
Thanks this week to all who have given in any way, I can’t name all the ways, but thanks so much, whether it’s having events, paying by standing order, giving in a collecting can daily, giving instead of Christmas or Birthday pressies, getting match funding, anyway thanks. Thank you to all who have bought tickets already for Saturday night, there are still tickets left to be had and I would urge anyone who is still thinking about coming to please come along and support us and have a great night out, make it a party night, make it a friends night, make it a family get together night, make it whatever you want, just enjoy please, that’s the name of the game. Thanks to all who have put Calum’s Cabin stickers on their Christmas cards, this is great and really spreads the word. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday - this weeks total stands at £148,973.83.

Advent - the days until the party are ticking!!!
Good Evening, all you Calum’s Cabin followers. We have had another really busy and very productive week at Calum’s Cabin. Thanks this week must go to all who made, collected, sold and purchased items at the weekend at our two Christmas Fair’s. Sunday was a really busy day, but it was great and we got to blether to so many people, thank you all so much. Thank you also to those of you who have donated to Calum’s Cabin instead of purchasing Christmas Cards and stamps, it is really amazing when you add up what all that costs. Thank you all so much. Also to those people who have given instead of Christmas presents to some relatives (those who like us all have everything that we could possibly need). What a lovely and very rewarding idea. Thank you. Tomorrow (Tuesday) we have a meeting with the BBC, regarding the film that they are proposing to make of “Calum’s Cabin” for Children in Need next year. This is a huge thing for us, and Calum would have been fair chuffed I am sure. The tickets for the “Party Nite” are still going, remember any of you who haven’t purchased yet, they are still available from Musicka, Print Point, Maison Gina, Pokey Hat, Stewart and Lisa’s Newsagents, The…

Christmas Fare’s
Thanks to everyone this week who have purchased calanders or any other Calum’s Cabin merchandise. It is very kind of you all to keep purchasing and all the amounts fair add up. Calanders especially are great for posting over the festive period. Calanders and CD’s are now on sale in the Co-op at £2 and £5 respectively. We have a sale this Sunday at the United Church of Bute after the service and then a stall at Mount Stuart House on Sunday between 12 - 4pm, selling all our merchandise and much more. So I think Jenna and I will need to cut ourselves in half this weekend, either that or you might see a cardboard cut-out of us!!! So if you speak and we don’t answer, then maybe it’s because it looks like us but infact it is just a cardboard cut-out!!!! (p.s. just incase you think Duncan is getting of lightly, he has been making the magic tricks and is working this Sunday). Tickets for “Calum’s Cabin, Christmas Party” will also be on sale at Mount Stuart. Just to remind everyone, Billy McIssac and his band will be playing and so will “Big Dougie” be entertaining us throughout the evening. So the date in your diary is Saturday 15th December, from 8pm onwards,…

Thank you
Only 4 Saturday’s are left until our big Christmas Party!!! So if you still have to get a ticket, stop reading this right now and off you go and get one or two!!! A lot have been sold already, and by all accounts they seem to be sold for all different sorts of reasons - Christmas works night out, birthday parties, christmas night out with friends or with family - whatever your reason, we look forward to seeing you there, and rest assured, Billy McIssac and his band will have you dancing the night away. We would like to thank everyone this week who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that all our events run like clockwork and everyone who at this precise moment are thinking of coming events to keep the fund raising going for next year and beyond. On a personal note, Duncan, Jenna and I would like to thank everyone for their support over the weekend and for all Calum’s flowers, gifts and donations - we were all truely touched and Calum would be extremely greatful I am sure. Thank you. This week as the run up to Christmas is approaching, I thank you all for your continued support, whether it be by sticking Calum’s Cabin stickers onto your Christmas Cards…

Calum’s Songs for Children
Monday again!!!!!! Thanks this week, to all who arranged events on our behalf and handed over money, we are very grateful, thanks again to all who are still match funding, this makes a huge difference to us. Remember, if anyone works for a large firm and they are part of an event then if that firm match funds, our charity number is SC038054. Thanks to all who have purchased our party night tickets already, we have another two outlets for them, Ettrick Bay and The Dairy, they seem to be flying of the shelf like “hotcakes”, so if you want one, get in there fast!!!! Only £7, there is a real bargain. This weekend is Calum and Jenna’s birthday, and Billy McIssac decided that that would be a lovely tribute if he released his Cd “Calum’s songs for children”, on the 18th. The CD is priced at £5 and is available from Musicka, Ettrick Bay, Tourist Board and Print point. This we feel would make an ideal stocking filler. It has 6 lovely tracks, all suitable for young children, and adults also if you like nice wee songs. Thank you this week also to those who have donated items for the cabin/cabins once they are up and running,it is wonderful, thank you. This weeks total…
