Thank you
Only 4 Saturday’s are left until our big Christmas Party!!! So if you still have to get a ticket, stop reading this right now and off you go and get one or two!!! A lot have been sold already, and by all accounts they seem to be sold for all different sorts of reasons - Christmas works night out, birthday parties, christmas night out with friends or with family - whatever your reason, we look forward to seeing you there, and rest assured, Billy McIssac and his band will have you dancing the night away. We would like to thank everyone this week who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that all our events run like clockwork and everyone who at this precise moment are thinking of coming events to keep the fund raising going for next year and beyond. On a personal note, Duncan, Jenna and I would like to thank everyone for their support over the weekend and for all Calum’s flowers, gifts and donations - we were all truely touched and Calum would be extremely greatful I am sure. Thank you. This week as the run up to Christmas is approaching, I thank you all for your continued support, whether it be by sticking Calum’s Cabin stickers onto your Christmas Cards…

Calum’s Songs for Children
Monday again!!!!!! Thanks this week, to all who arranged events on our behalf and handed over money, we are very grateful, thanks again to all who are still match funding, this makes a huge difference to us. Remember, if anyone works for a large firm and they are part of an event then if that firm match funds, our charity number is SC038054. Thanks to all who have purchased our party night tickets already, we have another two outlets for them, Ettrick Bay and The Dairy, they seem to be flying of the shelf like “hotcakes”, so if you want one, get in there fast!!!! Only £7, there is a real bargain. This weekend is Calum and Jenna’s birthday, and Billy McIssac decided that that would be a lovely tribute if he released his Cd “Calum’s songs for children”, on the 18th. The CD is priced at £5 and is available from Musicka, Ettrick Bay, Tourist Board and Print point. This we feel would make an ideal stocking filler. It has 6 lovely tracks, all suitable for young children, and adults also if you like nice wee songs. Thank you this week also to those who have donated items for the cabin/cabins once they are up and running,it is wonderful, thank you. This weeks total…

Royal Bank of Scotland’s Chairman’s Awards
Where do I start this week!!!! Last Tuesday I - on behalf of Calum’s Cabin was invited to the RBS Chairman’s awards, it was a very special evening and very emotional, we were awarded one of the 7 category awards and now are onto the next level, the Chairman’s dinner in February, when we are up against a lot of very deserving causes, that again will be a lovely evening I am sure. I met a lot of lovely people, a few of them with their own sad stories to tell, but that just emphasises that Calum’s Cabin will be able to help so many families. Thanks to all who took cards from me and all who gave me support on the evening. Thanks to all who have donated this week, individuals, businesses, clubs and societies, to all pub quizzes, and everyone who has helped in any way. Saturday saw us doing our ribbon day at Greenock Morton, thanks go to Greenock Morton for allowing us to shake our cans and sell our ribbons outside the ground, to all who donated and to all who helped and not forgetting all who helped make the ribbons. Ribbons are still on sale at home, so anyone wishing to purchase one, they are only £1 and all money goes…

Over £140,000!!!!!!
A huge jump this week again, over the £140,000 barrier, how amazing is that, Calum would be so proud, and what a difference it will make to so many children and their families once we are up and running. Thank you this week to all clubs and societies who have donated their time and energies to us, also to all who donate raffle prizes. Thanks also to all businesses who allow us to have collecting cans and everyone who puts in their loose change on a daily basis, let me assure you that all the pennies add up. Hopefully the tickets for the christmas party will be on sale next week, I made them this week and then my printer broke!!!!, so hopefully by next week the printer will have come out of”hospital “and be feeling much better. Thankyou to those who have contacted me already and asked for stickers for their christmas cards and also some have suggested putting Calum’s Cabin cards in with the cards, so anyone who wants the cards also, no problem just let Duncan, Jenna or I know. There is still a lot of work being done in the background, regarding land and hopefully we should know one way or another soon, as we really need to make a move…

Christmas!!!!!!
Wow, what a busy week again, thank you to all who ran events last week, we are very greatful, some we knew were happening and others we didn’t, all of which are great thank you. Thank you also to all those who went into Print Point for their bonus ball, there are still a couple of numbers left, so please pop in and join in the weekly draw. The tickets for the Christmas party are still not on sale, they are on the production press and as soon as they are ready, we will advise where and when they can be purchased, I know a lot of you are desperately awaiting, so I promise they will be out soon!!!! We had thought this year about making and selling Christmas Cards, but were unsure of the demand, so it is maybe a thought for next year once we know a rough guide of how many people would purchase them, but never one to miss out on an opportunity, our Calum’s Cabin stickers are available ( slightly bigger than a postage stamp) which if anyone is interested could be stuck onto the inside or outside of the card or envelope and it helps pass on the message as it gives our web address. Anyone who is interested…
